An acquaintance with and a useful appreciation of Pompeian archaeological heritage can also come to us through the description it provides of everyday life in antiquity: a fundamental role is the current restoration of ancient viticulture, carried out with the guidance of rigorous scientific studies.
Therefore it is with great pleasure that, on the occasion of the opening of the Vinum Nostrum exhibition in Florence, we present this booklet devoted to the historic sites of wine, offering an ideal journey in which the reader, from the East and through the colonies of Magna Graecia, arrives in ancient Pompeii.
It’s an invitation to the discovery of extraordinary places strongly linked to their land, representing the uniqueness of our country where, even by sipping a glass of wine, we are savouring history.
